 | Preparing the group training plan for the upcoming weekend. Start
preparing weekly Coaches Comm to the peeps. In the coaches comm we give
tips and guiding information. We start at the beginning and then increase to the more advanced
stages of training. The peeps train to Run or Walk a Full (26.2) or a Half (13.1) mile
endurance event. |
 | Daily answer to participants questions via email or telephone |
 | Organize clinics where experts in their field give advice to the
participants. Clinics we hold are for , The principles of training,
Nutrition, Injury prevention, Stretching, and Mental Preparation for the
event. |
 | Friday Night is reserved for Gatorade and PBJ preparation. We get
the supplies ready for the next days course. As an added bonus we have
found that our peeps love animal crackers. They say the lions are the
best for strength and endurance! HA! |
 | Saturday Mornings we are usually an up at 4:30 and get ready for the
day and then head to the scheduled course for that weekend. We set out
the
supplies and meet the peeps by around 6:00 - 6:30 am. We usually
finish around 12:00 after we clean up and care for the back of the
packers. |
 | During the group training we monitor and give advice to the
participants and cruise the course in a vehicle "just in case" someone
gets in trouble. We take this responsibility VERY seriously.
Michele spends more time on the road running with the peeps. Barry has
perfected herding the peeps with with the vehicle and "saying you are
looking good!" |
